Courtney M. Kaufmann writes adult fantasy and romance about love, magic, and the thrill of the unknown.

Courtney has been writing for as long as she can remember, beginning with Mrs. P.G.’s acrostic poetry lessons in the fourth grade. In middle and high school, writing became a way to process loss and make sense of the world around her. Just ask her old Blogspot page!

Courtney studied literature, Italian studies, and education at Bard College. She taught English Language Arts for eight years, a role she found immensely joyful and deeply rewarding.

She now spends her days raising her three boys, writing whenever she can, and building the kind of stories she loves to read. She still finds her way back to the classroom through Flour Power, an award-winning community club she co-runs that prepares and donates food to Hudson Valley pantries.
